Default Hickok 533 tube tester

Mikko from Finland hi. I just ask how to add Hickok 533 tube tester Plate or anode current Meter?
Is digital good or Analog better?

Best regards Mikko

Default Re: Hickok 533 tube tester

I typically use a 1 ohm precision resistor in the plate circuit and use a digital millivolt meter to measure the voltage drop across the resistor (1mV = 1 mA). One can also use pin jacks on either side of the resistor for connections to an external DVM. Accuracy depends on measuring device, given that Hickok tube testers do not test tubes at typical operating conditions, results are arbitrary and only useful for comparison to other like tubes using the same tube tester.
