Default Re: Korting tape recorder

The bradmatic heads were rather soft and something like a Fidelity probably got heavily used with tape chosen by cost.

The best chance of replacement Bogen heads is from a scrap recorder bought on the continent.

The worry is that Michael anticipated an open winding, so there sounds to be a problem with them.

Good hunting

60s Bogen stereo heads are apparently prone to going o/c, i've had this happen in a Metz tape recorder, it worked fine when i first restored it, then i tried to use it again after it spent a couple of years in storage and the head was o/c on both channels.
