Default HMV VHF adaptor unit

Has anyone seen one of these in the metal? It's an add on VHF unit that HMV produced to for their AM only radiograms. What interest me especially is what it indicates about the HMV operation: although they were unlikely to sell that many, they produced a detailed 33 page booklet showing how to install it, and listing all necessary components including subtly altered control knobs for the original. One imagines that the cost of designing the unit, the production of the booklet, the collating and numbering of every single component, the keeping of all these components in stock or at least available to order, must have far outweighed revenue from its sale.

I would imagine these are at least as rare as the VHF/FM tuner produced by Pye for their Black Box record players. Does the HMV booklet include a circuit?

Yes indeed the circuit is there as in all HMV/Marconi/EMI manuals. It's a 4 valve unit: ecc85, ebf80, ef85, eabc80.

I can't find the circuit in the Service Data link at the top of the page. Is it possible to post the circuit here?

Thank you, I will certainly be looking at it in the next couple of days.
