Dansette Senator?
Hi there, was wondering if anyone could tell me the year(s) of manufacture for the Senator model?
Cheers! |

Re: Dansette Senator?
Two models as i remember, Senator Mk1 and Mk2, probably around late 50s or early 60s. If you go to search and put in Dansette you will get a wealth of information on Dansette.

Re: Dansette Senator?
The Dansette "Senator" was made from 1963 to 1964 in the then new Honeypot Lane, Stanmore factory after Dansette moved out from Old Street, London, EC1. It used the BSR UA15 Autochanger, a BSR TC8H Cartridge and the then standard EL84 amplifier. It had an 8" "slot" speaker (8" x 2.5") more usually used in TVs. It replaced the (somewhat better sounding) "Tempo" model from 1962 to 1963, but looked very similar.
