I think the right thing has been done. The charity shop is happy, the radio's gone to a good home, there'll be no come-back on them about selling electrical equipment which doesn't meet current requirements.

Ah, good. All's well that ends well.
I can't help thinking of the parallel with dead rhinos killed for their horns to feed mythical beliefs. It's just old radio and radiogram carcasses in this case. David
