A huge vote of thanks to Richard, (trh01uk) for his part it further packing, posting & distribution of more of the Polystyrene capacitors from the 'Great Haul'!
Very much appreciated. There's no excuse now for not repairing Thorn 850 chassis, and also tape recorder bias oscillators! Also useful for repairs to early electronic organs, the list goes on... David. |

Having just read the original 'polystyrene capacitors thread', I'd also like to thank all those involved in the massive distribution task.

Thank you to forum member AC/HL for the very well packaged PM2 valve which has made my 1929 KB Brandeset IIIA work for the first time in what I suspect is a very long time! Much appreciated.

Thanks to Cambridge Works (Rob) for packing the valves so carefully and for taking the time to sort them from his collection - a task we all dread !

A huge thankyou to Uncle Bulgaria and Peter Scott
After 3 years I have the Cossor Scopes that medical emergencies and other incidents that prevented me collecting in person or by proxy, the Cossor Scopes that Peter offered in good faith so very long ago are now with me. So a big thank you to Peter for his limitless patience and to Uncle Bulgaria for putting himself out to such a degree to allow the Cossor scopes to finally arrive. Sometime the generosity, patience and understanding of fellow members amazes me as well as humbles. UB is a very young man compared to most of us old crusty's and his enthusiasm is infectious, helps me to be enthusiastic about the future for our hobby. Thank you Peter, Thank you Joshua. Cheers Mike T

. . .My very grateful thanks to Ed Dinning for his very kind offer of two Ratio Arm Transformers to help with the repair of the faulty CT492 T.R.A. Bridge I have and Members Andrew Sinclair "Stockden" Hugh and "MotorBikeLes" for their help with manuals with this project - Hugh's manual was very clear and everything easy to read on it, bar the PCB drawings, which I've put in a request for!

Thanks to Ed Dinning for rewinding a(otherwise "unobtainium") transformer for an ancient Bang&Olufsen table radio.
The work was completed quickly and at reasonable cost. Nick Last edited by Max Ripple; 25th Sep 2025 at 8:49 am. Reason: typo |

A million thanks to Mike (aka VT FUSE) for sending me a 12V soldering iron and a reel of solder. This tool is invaluable on the current situation of Cuban Power System as I can use It on batteries or solar panels.
Thank you Mike
