Wiring codes?
I am about to restore a Philips 727A and would like to keep any replacement wiring as original looking as possible.
Would like help as to what the 2 figure numbers mean for the type of wire I may buy. ie. 13/0.2 Bardwells of Doncaster use this coding and are a likely supplier. John. |

This code shows the number of strands/strand diameter, so 13/0.2 consists of 13 strands 0.2" diameter.

Yeah but dont confuse with the old UK imperial wire gauges such 7/022 for example which would be 7 strands of 0.022in dia...
