I replaced R-3 and still high voltage not as high though around 350V
all the windings on T1 all check fine 500V- 6.3V and 46 V. I do have to get a new 10K wire wound pot it calls for a 2 watt. Jim |

Hi All found the problem with this unit it was the transformer,
found my self another on E bay and will re build one and get one good one Regards, jim |

Your initial suspicions about that transformer were obviously right. Just out of interest, is the transformer wax impregnated?. Regards, Harry. |
