Default Help to identify unknown military PSU.

Just curious as to what this beast was out of and wonder if anyone can help.

Looks like it would take 26.5 Volts at 26 Amps and give out around 300 and 600 Volts of HT.

Have a few valves within the unit including four 5B/254M valves which seem to be equivalent to the 807, so guessing these would be used in the regulated sections

Also though I would ask here as well in the wanted section if anyone has circuits/manual on the US signals BC-788-C altimeter.

Thanks

Adrian

Just thought I would add that the metal case has no numbers on it, What I am missing from the outer case would have been the incoming air filter cover, which could well have contained some information.

Aby chance of a pic of the front panel?

The overall style/design-aesthetic - the plugs/sockets and the metal-cased relays in particular - looks like 1950s R4187/T4188 "STR18C" [AP2535E] gear that was used in the likes of the V-bombers.

Made by STC/Standard-Radio.

Back panel of your thing looks to be identical to "Power and radio unit 4192" of this series - see below.

Manuals available at the VMARS site.

I've just had a look in AP2535E, I agree that it is a Power and Radio Unit Type 4192.

Thank you both very much, I do believe you are correct, I have included a picture of the front panel as it is minus the filter cover.

I have just downloaded the document from VMARS and will have a good read.
