Default Latest buy - Please identify

Hi All

I have just bought this receiver, I think it is a CR100 variant but I cannot find a picture of one with a meter on it, the meter has been disconnected by someone as has the IF gain control, The back panel has a strip connector on it with 8 terminals 3 of which "I think" are different aerial connections for associated wavebands.

If this could be identified and if someone could direct me to circuit diagrams I would be obliged

Regards

Bill

Adding an S-meter was a very common modification 'back in the day'.

I think the /2 and /7 had meters, ergonomically not ideal;

CR100 , with added "S" meter. Or, known as Charlie Roger 100.

Hi All

Thank you for all your comments on this set, I have managed to get a manual.

Ed

Do you have any idea which copy of the magazine this article was in, even down to a year would be a great help.

Regards

Hi John

Would you have these 4 copies that I could borrow so that I can get parts copied and then return them?

Regards

Bill

PS

Did these mags go under any other name, I looked at the American Radio History site but was rather surprised that Radio Bygones was not in the list.

All 163 issues of Radio Bygones were published under that title.

Some companies are understandably keen to protect their copyright, particularly when they are selling back issues in paper or electronic form. See www.radiophile.co.uk for electronic versions.

Aesthetically not ideal perhaps, much like 1155 Jones connector placement.

Hello again Bill,

I do have a complete set of Radio Bygones but unfortunately not all stored together. The info came from an index file and it might take a while to find those particular issues. I was going to suggest that you obtained some pdf copies from the Radiophile website but I see they are no longer available.

Regards,
John

Hi

Yes, so the Mods told me, I have copy 31 coming to me in a few days, if you have the others I can either purchase them from you or I can copy the relevant parts and send them back to you.

Regards
