Hi Trevor

This is absolutely great that you have arranged and organised this. Well done. The only thing is how will the parking be organised? I don't remember that there was all that much space around you.

Good point Tim. My drive will take another two cars and the lady across the road will let me use her drive as well, which would take three cars, and three would sit in front of the house, so eight would be fine. I am sure though there wont be a problem most of the neighbours are really helpful around here.

If my wife & I do the trip down & back to Trevor's in a oner, we could possibly pick someone up in Dundee, Perth or Stirling etc, thus keep car numbers down.
Another factor to consider in relation to cars, or more specifically - their boot capacity, is how much stuff do folk intend to take down for swopping or bartering ? ie. I've a number of AVO's & Meggers, a couple of lovely big resistance bridges, heaps of capacitors & valves & a complete ship to shore AM VHF installation(circa 156Mhz). Prahaps the final number of guys should contact each other by PM closer to Oct, & see who's looking for what. Rather than choke up the Forum with "Offered" posts, and keep car boot loading to a minimum. Regards, David

I could fill a pick up truck with stuff to pass on / barter, but a list of "stuff to go and stuff wanted", from everyone going would be a good idea!
I will have a hunt around tomorrow and see what I have "to go".
Thanks,
Paul.

Hi.
Personally I would think car boots should be filled to capacity, especially as this type of meet probably won't happen all that often.
The idea of a wanted/offered is good but a surprize on the day is even better.
Cheers

Hello Mark, Great news. Shall look foreward to meeting up again. I think Trevor is on holiday just now, but I'm sure he'll be really pleased too.
I've been "lewk & weep-ing" again, so hope to have a decent car boot load of worthwhile stuff.
Regards, David

Hi Guys & Gals
Just an update. All is on track for October, I think there will be about 15-18 members coming.
Although my "den shed etc" is quite big it is also quite full!!
I will erect a stout and large Gazebo to the entrance of the shed. this will give us more room for the "swap".
As I said in my previous posts Anne will keep us going in soup, sandwiches, tea & coffee.
etc. Wives & Girlfriends will be welcome and of course can help out with carrying out the goodies .
There also will be a run out to Sorn where Bob Baird (I wonder if he's a relation of John logie) has his workshop and small museum, if there is interest, anyone going will not come away empty handed!!

I am looking forward to the day and I am sure it will be great.
Any questions please just ask
Mark the mender looking forward to meeting up
Cheers
Trevor

Remember its the 18th of October

HI,
We will be staying over somewhere on the Saturday but don't know where yet as guest houses to meet our requirements (disabled access / no stairs), seems very sparse?

Unless we all agree to meet at a certain (quiet) pub at a certain time?
