Westinghouse proposal for space colour TV
I have a document and I'm not sure if its in the public domain already.
It seems to be a report on some research. It will be a substantial amount of work to scan to make it available. Some pictures of some of the headlines. Cheers Mike T

A Google search of the title only brings up a single mention in this bio of JJ.
https://www.collectivelegacyproject....s-justice-page Well worth making it available as a PDF I would have thought.

Re: Westinghouse proposal for space colour TV
Hi to all,
Hi Cobaltblue, Engineer Stanley Lebar headed a team at Westinghouse who was responsible, in close coordination with NASA, for the entire Apollo program television image pickup, transmission, reception and standards conversion to ordinary television standards. In 2016, Mr Lebar was invited to the Early Television Foundation for a presentation in the conference sessions. I was lucky to be there & able to talk to him. The conference was videotaped and is viewable on YouTube (see link below). Sadly, he passed away a few months after the convention. Billions of people on earth saw live pictures from space thanks to his work. https://www.google.fr/url?sa=t&rct=j...iMstLoCvd9FT4Y Stan Lebar's life bio on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanley_Lebar Best Regards jhalphen Paris/France |

Re: Westinghouse proposal for space colour TV
I think part of the Lebar interview was used in one of youtuber Curious Droid's videos on Apollo TV, if it's the one I'm thinking about. He was talking about analysing the image intensifier tube's burn after Alan Bean's infamous little accident. The tube itself could still produce pictures in the lab but the burned section was confusing the AGC in the camera.
PS, yes its the same video

I remember the Bean incident.
