Default BSR TD10 deck

Hi folks

I acquired a Elizabethan LZ 34 tape recorder which was kindly brought to me today by Thomass and I believe this has the BSR TD10 deck in it, the trouble with the deck is you can not select the tape speed correctly and although I downloaded the information for the TD2 deck which does not seem the same layout. Are the TD2 and TD10 one of the same. I will try to put a photo of this deck on here a bit later.

best wishes

Ken

Hi,

The TD2 is a single speed deck, whereas the TD10 is three speed.

Thanks Micheal,

I have put a picture of the deck and wondered if anyone can spot to see if anything is not as it should, as I can not get the tape speed control to do what it should. I wondered if there was anything missing like a spring or belt or something.

Regards

Ken

Yes, as Michael says, the TD10 is the 3-speed version of the more common TD2.

A TD10 service manual does exist somewhere, but is not available from Paul Stenning AFAIK.

If you do a forum search, irregular forum member Allander says he has one and that he's scanned it, so if you managed to get in touch with him, he may be able to send it to you.

Nick.

There is a downloadable TD10 manual here, though it costs £13.50;

http://www.shopingathome.com/Military%20Wireless.htm

Also R&TV Service Sheet for the LZ32 & LZ34 also £13.50.

The couple of manuals that I have had from them in the past, have been good quality scans.
