Practical wireless article, circa 1963
Can you help? I've been asked to identify the following: 'an article in Practical Wireless from around 1963-4 on j, the square root of minus one. Looking for precise reference (year, month, author, title, and page numbers'
Maths are far from my strongest subject but more to the point, I didn't take PW after 1962. Any help appreciated. -Tony |

The article you want is entitled "This j business" if memory serves me right. I have it somewhere and will have a look for it this evening.

Hi Tony,
I've found it. It was in PW, April and May 1964. PM me your email address and I'll send it as an attachment, Jim |

I believe this was also covered in an issue of Practical Television some years ago, I wonder if anyone on the Forum has a copy of it.

Aah, complex notation. A bit mind-bending at first, but incredibly useful. Of you need any more clarification send me a PM and I can try and recall my Lectures on it. (Or just look out my notes! )
