Default Practical wireless article, circa 1963

Can you help? I've been asked to identify the following: 'an article in Practical Wireless from around 1963-4 on j, the square root of minus one. Looking for precise reference (year, month, author, title, and page numbers'
Maths are far from my strongest subject but more to the point, I didn't take PW after 1962.
Any help appreciated.
-Tony

The article you want is entitled "This j business" if memory serves me right. I have it somewhere and will have a look for it this evening.

Hi Tony,
I've found it. It was in PW, April and May 1964. PM me your email address and I'll send it as an attachment,

I believe this was also covered in an issue of Practical Television some years ago, I wonder if anyone on the Forum has a copy of it.

Aah, complex notation. A bit mind-bending at first, but incredibly useful. Of you need any more clarification send me a PM and I can try and recall my Lectures on it. (Or just look out my notes! )
