Default A clip with sound anywhere of this? (BBC News intro with Ally Pally aerial)

Does anyone know if a movie/sound clip of this news intro is available on the net anywhere? I've looked but can't find. (Is it A/Palace?? Cringe, cringe if I'm wrong!)

hello John,
The clip you show is the mast of the Alexandra palace transmitter tower. The vision aerials were at the top and the sound below.
The music was 'Girls in Grey' the signature tune for the womens Royal Air Force. Hope this might help. Regards John.

I expect the A.P.T.S. have it in their archive:-

The sleeve notes on my copy of 'The Great British Experience' says that Girls In Grey was composed during WW2 by Charles Williams for the Womens Junior Air Corps.

Don't you just hate a pedant! Drop me a PM and you'd be welcome to borrow my CD to listen to this track.

That CD also contains a copy of 'Non-stop' by L'Ochrestre Devereaux, which was used as the ITN theme until well into the 60s. Nostalgia's not what it used to be you know

If you haven't been into the Beeb website recently then they have a few more historic clips (not the Tv newsreel though)
