A clip with sound anywhere of this? (BBC News intro with Ally Pally aerial)
Does anyone know if a movie/sound clip of this news intro is available on the net anywhere? I've looked but can't find. (Is it A/Palace?? Cringe, cringe if I'm wrong!)

Re: A clip with sound anywhere of this?
hello John,
The clip you show is the mast of the Alexandra palace transmitter tower. The vision aerials were at the top and the sound below. The music was 'Girls in Grey' the signature tune for the womens Royal Air Force. Hope this might help. Regards John. |

If you haven't been into the Beeb website recently then they have a few more historic clips (not the Tv newsreel though)
