When we met at Jeremy's I asked if I could call in, I hope it is still OK to pop in in the afternoon for a few hours, I don't need accommodation as my daughter lives nearby and I still have your details from last year.

Hi Mikey,
No worries about the Invicta, it is a beast of a thing.

I'll be bringing a few bits I don't need. I found a bag of triplers whilst having a clearout - I'm really not sure about colour TV, I don't think it will catch on!

Looking forward to meeting everyone over the weekend.

Hi all.

Could I ask that people wear some kind of name badges with their real and forum names please? It can be awkward if somebody you've spoken to a lot on the forum is stood next to you and you have no idea who they are.

And besides, I have enough trouble remembering my own name.

Time permitting, is it too late to ask if I can come along?
It's 50/50 at the moment whether I can, but would like to if it's possible.
Perhaps I could bring along my [untouched -besides hoovering out- and in need of attention] Philips N1520 VCR if anyone has time to take a peek at it too.. would that be OK? My interests lie mainly in vintage video recorders and 70's - 80's TV programmes, but old tellies fascinate me too

Hi Rob.

By all means - You're most welcome. As for N1520s, they're not something to be ventured into lightly. They have all the worst bits of the N1500s with even more complicated circuitry. I have one in Devon but I'm too scared to go near it!

... yikes - I don't have the service manual either - which would make it even more of a swine to fix!
I think I'll ask if anyone has the service manual... (it's nowhere online that I can find) has to be worth a try!

I won't know until last minute if I can come, it all depends on time - and I do fancy the NVCF too...

Well, another very enjoyable day in the good company of fellow TV nuts...

Thanks once again to our generous host Mike for meaking us all so welcome. Plus Chrissy for the endless sandwiches and cups of tea!

I had to leave early as I have some sort of collector's fair to go to tomorrow and unless I get some sleep tonight I will be "lights on but noboady home" tomorrow (Aren't I always like that

).

Mikey, thanks so much for hosting such a great event. All those delicious colour tellies and great convivial company...what more can one ask...and seeing the famed John Wakely brandishing a solder-gun...it can't get any better!!
