Default Philips 092 Radio Cassette - faulty

Free for price of postage (3) or collect from Felixstowe Suffolk.

The FM radio works fine, cassette drive is broken, MW/LW hiss and only picks up one strong station.

The case is OK, battery terminals are shiny, runs off a two-pin mains lead.

Photos show broken cassette cog deep inside, and tape head which is only held on one side (looks like the adjusting bolt / spring side is broken).

Circuit diagram is on Elektrotanya, simple one PCB design with a couple of ICs.

Regards,
John

Default Re: Philips 092 Radio Cassette - faulty

I remember buying one of these at a boot sale in the 80's and was very impressed with it's tonal quality, must admit I was tempted but have far too many already!
Hope it finds a good home.
