Default Teac X-1000r

I am repairing a X-1000R at the moment, it has a faulty speed select switch (S801), it will not latch. Has anyone tried replacing one of these SMK types with the ALPS switch available from Canford/Farnell?. A long shot but does anyone have a original thats available?

Regards
Trevor
