Right size Torx Screwdriver for Revox PR99
Hi!! Need to fix the tape counter belt again for my Revox PR99. Seeing if I can do this here in my studio.
- What size Torx Screwdriver do I need? - Reliable place to get the long belt and the short toothed belts for tape counter? Thanks / Brewer Orig Thread: Revox Tape Belt Replacement PR99 - May 2007 / 11 years ago!! Don't remember PR99 deck plates being held on with Torx - it's a straightforward 2.5 hex.
Counter belts are second source components these days - try Black Reel or Nagravox. |

Re: Right size Torx Screwdriver for Revox PR99
Hi Brewer
I don't think Torx were around when PR99/B77 were manufactured. All Studer/Revoxes I have seen /serviced used both Philips and Hexagon socket (Allen) head machine or self tapping screws. I stand corrected they were invented by Camcar Textron in the US in 1967, but I still don't think they were used by Studer/Revox at all unless someone has changed them on this item John Last edited by John Caswell; 8th Jun 2018 at 9:00 am.
