I have an odd issue with my A77 . Something is up with the transport , when I press the record button , it sometimes rewinds , and sometimes is fine . Play , rew and ff are all fine. any suggestions ?

TIA
David

No its worse now . now the transport control is all over the place so I assume the diode was a symptom rather than a cause. mmmmm ...I`ll keep going .
