Default Logo for water slide

Hi folks,

Is there anyone who has a decent scan of the Regentone log for making a water slide decal?

The one I am after is the gold sheild with a black outline with two "birds" in the sheild. The Regentone name is in black lettering on a curved gold background beneath the sheild.

The pic attached is too washed out to use, I am looking for crisp outlines.

Thanks

If you've got an hour or so spare, you can crispen that up in Paint- even on a pixel by pixel basis if needed.

Hi,

In the past I've recreated logos for my gramophones and would willingly recreate your image for you to printout. I should be able to work from your photo and would just need the measurements.

If you go to the link below you'll be able to see images I've done for my own collection plus one I recreated for a friend for a Nova machine.

Scroll down to the images at the bottom of the page

http://www.restore-a-gram.co.uk/decals/4591836971

No charge... I just enjoy the challenge.

Hi Bigclick. If you get your decal sorted, show us a picture would you? As a fan of 30's wooden radios the transfer is the first thing to disappear when one refinishes a cabinet and I'm always eager to learn of the best way to reinstate it. You need an inkjet printer with gold ink!!??

Ed it: Graham I've just seen your pages. Stunning.

Hi Graham,
Long ask I know but could you replicate the scale for a little Bush TR114 from some info already here.
Not sure I have the expertise for this operation.
Greg.

Thanks Kevin. Glad you enjoyed your visit.

BigClick. I took the liberty of having a crack at the Regentone logo for you. Matching colours with the original are a problem and as Kevin says for some logos you need a metallic gold sometimes which most printers can't do. How I regret throwing away my ALPS printer from about 15 years ago. These were brilliant for logos as they included white and metallics. Anyway here's an attempt that may need tweaking and sizing

Greg. Yes I'll have a go for you. Post the image you want me to have a go at.

Graham

I'd echo that!

I'm not into gramophones, but what a challenge they are. Superb restorations, and excellent links to suppliers of parts. Amazing what stuff is available when you're 'on a mission' to track down specialised items, without which a restoration couldn't be completed. The logos on the website are top notch, and the shades of yellow are an excellent mimic for gold. Your efforts show what an excellent program Corel Draw is, in the right hands.

Makes me realise just how far down the food chain I am when it comes to CAD!

The Regentone badge looks really clean, but I reckon the T is squiffy. I guess the virtual uprights in the centre of each letter should all be radial to the centre of the circular arc in the bottom area.

By eye I'd say that's about at the top point of the inverted V bit.

Couldn't agree more Chris, and if you look closer you should find other points to question... but it was just a "crack" at it which, given the small amount of time I spent on it, was hopefully enough for BigClick to get the idea and see if he wanted me go further.
