Dansette major
Hi guys
In the process of restoring a Dansette Major. Had to remove the front grillel and it has a crack in it and a few broken pieces. Also the volume and tone control knobs cracked. So does anyone know what I can use to replace the grill and where can I get a cheap set of control knobs. Cheers guys |

Re: Dansette major
I'm afraid you can't replace that perforated plastic grille as such, except to rob one from another player. By now these will have become very brittle and will need handling with great care. Where these grilles are replaced, a metal gold mesh or a period speaker grille cloth can be used. To find 1950s/60s style knobs, these are sold by most valve guitar amplifier specialists and can be readily searched out.
