Default Kolster Brandes Calypso

Can anyone confirm the battery type required for this model?

Thanks,

Tony.

From memory it uses the ubiquitous PP9.

I'll check in the manual this evening (my Calypso is in storage at present - not a bad set at all).

Regards,

It's OK, I've just dowloaded a service date sheet for it and found all the info & yes, it does use the PP9.

I'm glad you're sorted.

These were an interesting set with provision for a baby alarm / microphone input. The same set up was used on some of the KB televisions as well.

As well as the Calypso there was the "Lyric" which was the same set in a plastic case. They don't seem to have survived so well - I've been after one for years.

Somewhere I've an original sales brochure for the year in which this set came out.

If you PM me with your e-mail address I'll send you a scan.

Regards,
