Default Reel to Reel Grundig TK820 and TEAC A-5500

Dear Colleagues I have two issues that I hope someone can help with.
A 50 years ago I had a Grundig TK820 Recorder. It gave excellent sound. I have since travelled the wordl and finally returned home to find it in the attic where it has been since 1968 and not working. No access to my old tapes.

I noted in an earlier forum thread:-

https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...ead.php?t=6423

Mike Phelan had come across a similar problem when the cork looking clutches on the drive plates seem to have disintegrated. What is the best thing to do ? Is Mike still in contact ?

B In 1980 I bought a TEAC A-5500 Dolby reel to reel deck. It was little used. and has not been used since 2000. The belts have turned to goo.

Is there anyone out there who knows where I can get these two units operational again as I do not have a sufficient skill level? I have stripped them down sufficiently to see the problem and hesitate to scrap them. I also need to discover what, including recordings of my deceased parents is on the tapes and recover them onto a more reliable medium.

Your help / advice would be most welcomewo
