Default Dansette 111/111X and 222 aerial labels.

Hi,

Any chance somebody could scan the label which goes around the aerial socket on the back of a Dansette 222 and tell me the diameter

Many Thanks
David

Hi David, My scruffy 222 is missing its label, but I have an RT 111X which I believe has the same label . The outside diameter is 25 mm. Hope this is OK.

Regards, Mick.

Thanks Mick .

Just one more question... What is it made from? I always imagined it to be a silver coloured cardboard But I'm not so sure, now, after looking at the picture.

Regards
David

This one seems to be made of gold coloured cardboard but is covered with a shiny clear plastic coating, I'm sure a man with your talents ( ) could try laminating the thing with some kind of clear covering. .

Regards, Mick.

The labels on a Dansette 111 and 222 here aren't in nearly so good a state, but I do get the impression that they've always been silver rather than gold. Possibly gold card would have been peculiar to the 111X: hard to say more than that unless someone is able to report some near pristine silver examples, which mine definitely aren't.
