Default ID speakers, Wharfdale?

These are some Solavox TK45, made in Great Britain, I understand Comet brand. The speakers seem much like Wharfdale, any more info? Just under 10".

Any info please.

10 "? Possibly 102.14 - looks a lot like one I have with that stamped on it.

Hmmm, there's a couple of Solavox speakers in my local charity warehouse. They're a bit tatty and at £45 I've left them there. They look similar, I'll have another look.

Any comments on performance for the TK45s?

They could be homemade, I had a Wharfdale kit with the same woofer, does the mid have a cardboard tube behind it? another indication of possible kit/DIY is the front cover grommets are in an odd place.

Andy.

I've had some Solarvox Loudspeakers and they looked supiciously similar to some Leak branded ones from the later days when Leak was part of a bigger grouping.

Hi
The Solavox speakers used Leak 20 series cabinets, with Wharfedale drive units from the Denton, Linton and Glendale range.
In effect ‘hybrid’ designs made specifically for Comet.
