Default Telford TC10 2m. transmitter

Hi All,
I am hoping to get this little rig working as part of a "vintage" 2m. station I am trying to put together.
Information on the rig seems to be in very short supply - virtually nothing on t'Internet or other forums.
Does anybody have any technical info on the equipment - as usual a circuit diagram is what I am really after.
cheers
Peter G8BBZ

Default Telford Communications TC10 transmitter

Hi All,
It's been a while since I last posted looking for any info on this equipment so I thought I would give it another try.
The TC10 is a VFO Controlled 2m. 10W SSB/FM transmitter dating from (I guess) the early 70's.
I have one in good, though modified condition and would like to get it on the air. So far, however, all attempts by me, and others, to unearth a manual or circuit have not been succesful.
If you have any info on this set, please get in touch.
Thanks
Peter G8BBZ

Hello Peter, I suppose you have seen this which came up during a Google search?
You could try contacting him.

http://g0cer.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/TC10

I strongly suspect this mention could be the same one

https://g4fre.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09...fest-2014.html
Maybe that is where you got it?

There was nothing I could see on mods.dk but it was worth a look.
Good luck with your searches.

I found adverts for the TC-10 in Short Wave Magazine, starting on p. 472 of the Nov. 1974 issue. Different ads appeared later, eg on p. 585 of the Jan, 1975 issue, and p.224 of the June 1975 issue. If you would like a scan of these ads, please PM me. There were similar ads in Radio Communication at the same time. I did not find a review of the TC-10 in either magazine.

Also on p. 600 of the Jan. 1975 issue were two pictures relating to Telford Communications. Both were taken at the A.R.R.A show at Leicester. The first picture was of their stand at the show. The second was of John Oliver, G8ARS, who was the principal of the firm and did much of the design, with a TC-10 in his hands. The company was located in Bridgenorth in Shropshire.

G8ARS is still listed by QRZ.com. No guarantee it's up to date, but there is an address.

Hi Peter,
I can't help with info at the moment I'm afraid, but I have one on the shelf waiting for information to assist its rejuvination as well.
If I find anything in the mean time I'll let you know.
