I have a couple of these machines which need mechanical overhaul. It's the usual stuff, belts, tyres, re-lubricating, etc. When I last looked, a while ago, the mechanics were otherwise fine, but I'm aware that some Sony plastic gears can split (an issue on DAT drives), so they might be worse than I imagine.

I no longer have the dexterity to do this myself, however I have some transfers to do and would like to get them both working again, as I've no other Dolby C decks. If you're able to do replay alignment at the same time that would be even better!

Obviously, I'll pay the going rate.

Last time I checked, he had a 6-month waiting list and he won't be cheap, but his reputation is 2nd to none. Check the tapeheads site for references.
