It's a Canadian Westinghouse 501 bought from ebay NZ some years ago - I think I about £17 for it but shipping was considerably more. I can't find much info about it but it does get a brief mention with pics here http://www.civilization.ca/cpm/catal...e.html#1221891 and here http://www.execulink.com/~michiels/newfinds.htm

I thought that I would fight my way into the junk room - er I mean garage/workshop & take a few pictures. There are a lot more sets in there than at first meet the eye, and then about the same again in the loft. SWMBO will not permit such things in the house, apart from the spare room/office. The only exception was a Zenith Transoceanic which stood on a shelf in the lounge for some years.
I really must have a clear up!

Josh,
Whenever I wonder if I have room for one more set, I somehow think of your collection, all 88(?) of them.

Looking forward to seeing the photos.

Frank N.

PS: Didn't you say you have a pair of Grundig sets?

Talking Re: Photos of our "stashes"?

Ahhh but does anyone have a radio made in the country formerly known as Burma?

It looks better in the picture than it does in person - the veneer is coming off in parts, so I have to figure out a way to at least reglue it. It's never gonna look good, though. I just salvage what I can, somehow.

And would you believe this old beast still works?? You should see the insides - not pretty.

Here's my new baby. Note: Picture isn't mine, but the radio is now.
