MFJ noise bridge
Hello,
I am after information on the mfj noise bridge models 202--202b, do they have the same varable condencer or are sum air type varable condencer. I've down loaded the manual . can any one help. regards. Eric. cinema1. |

I've looked on Google pics, not a lot of info, the MFJ-202 appears to have been fitted with what looks like a solid dielectric type then at some point during production an air spaced type, a pic showing the MFJ-202B shows it fitted with an air spaced type which looks the same as the air spaced type that was at some point fitted to the MFJ-202.
The XL and XC scales look the same for both models, I'm guessing that if the two different types of variable capacitors were the same value then the value of the offset capacitor will be the same, the schematic for the MFJ-202B shows the offset capacitor's value as 180pF.
