Aldi. Offers on tools.
Over the weekend ,noticed Aldi has some tools on offer - gas mini soldering iron / small cordless drill ( only 3.6v, so I wonder about charge life) and a cordless screwdriver with the bits in a cartridge format .
I thought the drill might be ideal for the smaller bits we tend to use on PCB |

Re: Aldi
I must have missed those or they sold out, I went to our local Aldi today and the rechargeable LED torch caught my eye, £15 and very bright and compact, perfect for looking inside radios etc and very bright to shine through PCBs to follow the traces.

Re: Aldi
TBH- I saw these in one store, but couldn't remember what I'd seen, so I got the details from their site.
I've had replacement stuff from Aldi ,with no postage/carrier charges, and it's been very fast. |
