Re: Radio Constructor 'G.A. French' and Dick and Smithy unmasked!
Hi Gents, perhaps its time for someone to publish "The Collected Works of Dick & Smithy", along the lines of the LLJ book of a few years ago.

Re: Radio Constructor 'G.A. French' and Dick and Smithy unmasked!
I hate to be a party pooper, but Dick and Smithy didn't do it for me.
It felt a bit contrived, rather like the attempts to drop bits of agricultural advice into the Archers. My suspension of disbelief just doesn't work. I can watch and enjoy films and various TV programmes, but I just can't watch soap operas. I suppose the thing that stopped me ever bothering with radio constructor was the quantity of yet more TRF reflex designs. I came across Wireless World at about the same time as Radio constructor and I opted for Scroggie rather than Smithy. However if all that content of radio Constructor was the work of one man, then it truly was an epic performance. David
