Transmitter breast no2 mkiii
Hi
Cleaning up in the basement, found an old TRANSMITTER BREAST SOUND POWERED No 2 MK III YA5877 Do you know anybody who may have any use for it? It had been fun to know where it have been used. At the moment the on off switch are the most valuable for me. dsk |

Weren't they (or similar) things used by anti-aircraft plotting-table and RADAR-operators during WWII ?? Does yours have the 'speaking-horn' attachment?

Re: Transmitter breast no2 mkiii
I bought a similar set from Superadio in Liverpool many years ago but it didn’t have the external switch. Instead, moving the horn activated an internal switch, well at least that was the theory I suppose, in practice it was very difficult to make it switch at all. Perhaps an earlier version?

The "YA" at the start of the number would indicate an army origin.

That is around £25 postage. I thought Royal Mail was expensive at £8.95 unsigned, £12.85 signed when sending from UK to within Europe. I should be thankful really.
It is very kind of you to offer it on here for free though. Rob

Re: Transmitter breast no2 mkiii
I do not need it, and do not know others who does, better to give it to someone who wants it, than cannibalize the parts, or even put it in the waist. Could not think about other pages, but if you know someone who wants it let them answer here within next weekend.
