Default Dynatron GR5 espresso record player

Just dug this out after a few years of storage. Searches have turned up nothing for this, the GR5. Nice unit with proper bass and treble, and a collaro studio deck.

Seems to be one of their earliest models, anyone got any info?

Not an urgent request, as it works well, but I would like to get hold of a schematic in case I go for a restoration in the future. pics attached.

This lot do the manual and service data for it. Looks like the downloaded version is £6.50.

Odd deck that one, seems to use a conquest arm on a studio deck. With the later studio arms you could set tracking weight.

Thanks for the responses.
I will try to open it up and get some pics of the amp, There are at least two valves in there I can see. I might have to replace THAT capacitor.

Hi,
I have a service manual for this as I restored mine not too long ago. PM me if you need a copy

Thanks to Jon and the manual, this is now running well. I changed three 0.022 caps, one was wax and two Metalmite cp33. Will add a few pics in due course.

I found a green label in the bottom, deck is a c-60 apparently.
cart is a Ronette 284, still works very well. I might start a separate thread on the ronette stylus markings though, they`re like hieroglyphics!

Just to add to the melee. Dynatron made a matching tape recorder, model TPR1, using the Collaro Mk2 tape transcriptor.
I assume this is the same vintage as the 3 band transistor with the twin telescopic aerials for vhf, presumably going for a younger customer with all that trendy vinyl!

Rick.
