Default Circuit, please, for Saisho CT142RX

I think it's a really a Matsui 1440A - not on Paul's database.

Thanks in advance.

Available from here, in Matsui guise, if you don't mind digging into your pocket.

Thanks, Darren, if nobody comes up with one here, I'll have to put some money in my pocket to replace the fluff.

Or try the U-View books in your local main library.

Isn't this the one with the avalanche diode across the HT line that tends to go s/c for no apparent reason?

What's the fault? Might be worth a Google?

Nick.

Thanks, Nick; not a place I visit very often so didn't know about U-View.

Fault is lack of width & height (probably low HT) and it's not electrolytics.
If I can get a circuit I'll sort it, so no worries there.

Orion chassis. I must have repaired thousands of these good little sets over the years. These were Currys/Dixons best selling portable for years.
Check the ht rail. i seem to think it is around the 100v.
If that is down then the STR50103 reg ic is suspect.
Diss the ht feed to the loptx and put a 40w light bulb across the ht smoothing cap and measure it.
The psu is self osc and will run ok with a dummy load.
PM me if you get any problems. Cheers, Malc.

They were/are a series of annual books containing circuit diagrams of the year's TVs and VCRs. They carried on roughly where Molloy & Poole left off.

Thanks, folks.

Ben, I'll take a pic when I've a moment.
Malc, I'll try what you said, but if it needs more than a component from my junkbox, it will land here as "offered" as it does work.

I'll close the thread and start a new one if I need help, but if anyone has a circuit to hand, please PM me.
