Ekco TC268, Mc Michael M17TLC.
Hi, i rescued these two sets at the weekend. They are both complete, untouched. Are they worth restoring? The Ekco has VHF radio. I have enclosed some pics of them. Cheers, Malc

Of course they are! I'm sounding like Steve P now. You certainly did the right thing by rescuing them from a cruel fate.
I'll qualify that slightly. If they interest you and you feel you might want to keep them they are certainly worth doing. I'm sure that John Wakely will say the Ekco in particular will be an excellent set. Otherwise offer them to somebody else who will give them a good home. |

Jeffrey is right! That Ekco is a gem and with a nice line output transformer. I bet it works other than a few frame caps. Bring it down south...I wanna get my hands on it and get it going. A couple of really nice discoveries Mike. Regards, John.
P.S. An aluminised tube in the Mac as well. These were very reliable models. |

The Ekco will give the finest 405 picture you have ever seen, if the tube is willing.
Thanks for saving a couple of great sets. |
