Pretty sure that's going to be an American Belmont set (got one in a squarer wooden cabinet and the tuning dial is very similar).

Well there's a few drawing pins and a couple of inline connectors that might be useful!
The cabinet looks the biggest challenge- not least since it's a bit "functional" appearance wise.

The coil on the left looks like a Wearite "P" series. The inline wander sockets are unusual, possibly a later mod.

Re: Radio ID please, BH Moni ??
The chassis has definitely been hacked around but the valve sockets do seem to be riveted so it may have had a previous existence. Parts seem to be from the late 30's. It looks like a TRF with rectifier, RF stage and audio output. There are two transformers and I would guess the underside is the output and the top is an autotx for the heaters.
The autotx makes it worth looking at and it could make an interesting project as its simple and may need some redesign to get it working properly. Fixing a set you don't know if it ever worked adds that extra dimension! |

Re: Radio ID please, BH Moni ??
Also looks as though it has a line cord dropper as well, no sign of a dropper resistor. This was fitted on imported sets as the valve line up was designed to go directly across their 110 volt mains supply.
