Early Philips Colour TV Website
Dear All
In response to recent contacts from forum members (and others) I thought it right and proper to give you a heads up on the Early Philips Colour TV website that I developed and ran for a few years. The website took a huge amount of time to research, create, develop and maintain but like many of things in life it was a labour of love. The main reason I let it lapse somewhat was life changes, health fluctuations and time constraints due to various commitments. However, some good news. I still have much of the collateral that I assembled over the years (with the very considerable help from others). My web development skills are far more advanced now also. So, to cut to the chase! I would like to re-launch the site in a new and slightly upgraded format if there is thought to be sufficient interest amongst the ‘Early Philips Colour TV Fanbase’. My own motivation is just to keep the topic alive and to provide as much resource as possible on those magnificent old TV sets. To this end, I would love to hear from any persons who would like to comment on my proposal and possibly assist in its re-development/re-launch. Kind regards Robert (Philips Fan) |

Re: Early Philips Colour TV Website
Just a heads up chaps.
Following some considerable encouragement I am relaunching the Early Philips Colour TV website at: https://philipstv.co.uk/ It may well take a long time to get it back to its former glory but I really hope we can do so. Regards Robert |

Very best of luck with the resurrection of the site. I'm sure that there are many members of this and other forums that will really appreciate your efforts.

Re: Early Philips Colour TV Website
Thanks Peter
It will take some considerable time, but its going to be worth the effort I'm sure. I'm not under any hard and fast time-scales so lets see how we get on. I have a great new domain name and I'm paying for a fast server too. Robert Last edited by Philips Fan; 9th Mar 2019 at 2:04 pm. Reason: Name update |

Re: Early Philips Colour TV Website
Hello Robert,
It was me that started the thread about the missing website, I am glad you responded and that you are allright. I own two vintage Philips TV sets, and for some reason I have always been fond of Philips and their products. I truly enjoyed your website and found it interesting and well made. I know that sometimes other events and commitments in life come in the way, but if you feel that you have the time and interest to begin anew I could not be more pleased |

Re: Early Philips Colour TV Website
Thanks Hampus
I remember you kindly providing data to me many moons ago! I will definitely be adding that info to the new site (if I can still located it!). Its going to be a long haul but it has to be done! I have all the old data that was gathered, the problem is whether its in a extractable form... Please feel free to get involved as much as you wish in the project things move forward. Regards Robert |

Re: Early Philips Colour TV Website
Got the main G6 sections back up now.
If anyone can offer any more G6 sales blurb that I can add to the page below it would be really great: https://philipstv.co.uk/g6-sales-blurb/ Regards Robert |

Re: Early Philips Colour TV Website
Okay, so after a very intensive few days, much of the Early Philips Colour TV website is back. I need to add the collectors sets sections and more Continental data. Time for a rest now though!!!
