Default Identification of 4000ohm headphones

Hi folks.

I picked these up today in an antiques shop. Having spent a fruitless hour Googling I have been unsuccessful in finding the maker or determining the year they were made or what for.

The Umlaut over the U may indicate that they are German but I cannot trace any maker.

Just wondering if anyone has seen these before and has any info on them.

They appear to be working and have two 1000 ohm coils in each section wired in series to give 4000 ohms.

Thanks in advance,

Mike.

WOW thanks G6Tanuki; I didn't think to look on that site. Very interesting, not sure if it makes them more valuable than the British ones but at a fiver I'm well pleased.

Mike.
