White Bush VHF80 in Lewes auction next monday
It's a Gorringe's Garden St auction room http://www.gorringes.co.uk/ and as you can see from the pic has a couple of cracks, one above vol knob, the other from top right corner of dial and shirt on tuning knob split otherwise looks ok

That isn't a VHF80. It is in fact a VHF90. Whoever gets this, if he's on here, had better read Paul Stenning's mod details on his main site.
Not the best Bush in the world.... Cheers, Steve P.

Re: White Bush VHF80 in Lewes auction next monday
It's a VHF90 in pretty average condition for those (cracks in the case and to the knob skirts, missing switch trim). Not one of Bush's better efforts and since a later similar model had the switch arranged differently I suspect the problems occurred fairly early on in their lives.
Despite that they are not particularly rare or sought-after so it will probably sell for under £20. It's probably of more value for parts since the valves, speaker, output and IF transformers etc are common over a number of Bush sets. |

Re: White Bush VHF80 in Lewes auction next monday
I've been to Garden Street when lurking in Bexhill but never seen anything outstanding radio wise Soundmix. Battle has been a better option [Burstow Hewlet]. However,as you said previously that you visit Lewes quite a bit, don't be discouraged from reporting in. Especially when I'm back down there!
Gorringes in Bexhill doesn't seem to turn up much either. Cheers Dave |

It's always interesting to know what's in these auctions and what it fetches, for comparison with things like BVWS auctions.
