Interesting use of Danish oil on slate and Bakelite. Good to know it worked well. Any photos, Cheers, Paperboy.

I have only tried a bit half heartedly on the phone handset, but the results are encouraging. The clock was a great success as the finish was in very poor condition. Post 22 on this thread has a photograph. https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...t=18879&page=2

Odd, big telly good, big radio bad. Give me a 36" radio and a 12" telly any day.

Wonderful job done, you were lucky the wiring was in good shape. I have one of these but most of the wiring is losing it's rubber isolation and that's a big job to sort out even before I service it and work on the tatty cabinet.
Lovely set though, as with most Murphy's from the 30's and 40's very distinctive styling.
