Dick Smith 1973/74 catalogue
This link was recently posted to the NZ Vintage Computer group on Facebook - see what was being sold "down under" back then (not in NZ though, they didn't open here until 1981 and didn't hit Invercargill until they took over David Reid Electronics in the early 90s).

Now that's a blast from the past.
And I've still got the speakers (Richard Allans) I bought from David Reid Electronics (Wellington) back in the 70's |

Re: Dick Smith 1973/74 catalogue
Now you're asking.
They are snug fit in a cabinet but I might be able to weasel one out and check. They are a two way, that much I know but I would have to take the back off to know what the drivers are, any attached labels on the cabinets are long gone. For reference the cabinets are ~2ft tall and ~1ft 3" wide, still going strong despite the cat clawing attacks. |
