Default Rock lobster on Amiga 500 PCB

Does anyone know the significance of the B52 Rocklobster printed on Amiga500 boards?

I once asked the manufacturer when they first came out, but got no answer.

Useless pub-quiz factoid- The B52's named their band after the B-52 beehive hairdo- which in turn had been so named as it supposedly resembled the shape of a B-52 nosecone.

As kids we often found scratched rather inane 'handwriting' pressed into the runout groove of vinyl 45's and 33's, little messages put there- just because the artist COULD, i suppose.

Vinyl mastering engineers often pressed a signature into the centre of their pressings. The best known is George Peckham, who often stamped his pressings with "A Porky Prime Cut" in the 70s.

Back on topic please.

One of them, can't remember if A3000 or A4000 was also called Planet Claire, another B52's track.
