Default FOC Gould OS300 (not working) Collect/FCS only

This was given to me, with a statement that only one channel was working when last used. Applying power produces a green power on indicator but no trace (no flashes, bangs or smoke either). Physical condition is reasonable though there's an obvious crack at the front that state of the metal asset tag suggests it's been damp at some point.

I'm afraid that I'm not able to pack this up and ship it so it's FCS or collect from the Forest of Dean, though I could possibly deliver it in the Gloucester/Cheltenham or (with some delay) Kidderminster area. I could also take it to the Newbury Boot Fair/Rally in 2 weeks time if that helps.

As a long time, multiple loser SP&SIO race I always use a hat for this sort of thing. If there's no interest in, say, a week's time it'll go to the recycling centre.

Green power indicator? it looks red to me!

You don't get any signs of life from one of these unless the 'bright line' button is pushed in, its worth a try.

If anyone needs it, I've got the 29-page Gould OS300 manual and will be happy to email it.

Just PM me with your e-mail address.

Hi David.
Would the FCS be able to get this down to Bath/Bradford on Avon?
If so I could certainly give this a loving home.

It's Hugh who is offering the scope not me Tim.

I just mentioned that I could e-mail a copy of the manual if whoever gets the scope needs the manual.

As to FCS, the person who gets the scope would need to make a request on the forum to see if any members can help. It's not a formal organised transport system - it relies on any members who are able to help to get it from A to B - sometimes in more than one 'hop'.

In my experience, scopes don't travel well by courier, having had to return an extremely well packed scope due to damage.

You're right about the indicator of course, I've no ideas why I put green. It must have been a "senior moment".

Yes, I spotted the "bright line" button but sadly it makes no difference. There's no trace at any combination of controls.

Tim is the only claimant for this so it'll go to him and the thread may therefore be closed.
