Default And then there were two !

Finished the second , one at last ,the chroming was the problem , due to the rust /pitting ,a company in Nottingham finally , sorted it to my satisfaction .
The one on the left was a real mess ,very rusty chassis and case , the chassis was striped of all components , cleaned all the rust off ,primed and top coated, the speakers had been eaten away by mice ,just the cones that is , that rendered the speakers speechless ,as were the mice there were three of them complete skeletons ,not sure if they were blind before there demise !
Anyway on re assembly the radio worked first time , having replaced all the usual capacitors . Mick.

Spectacular. i do wonder how much the chroming cost...? Getting single items done tends to be expensive..

Great job.
No doubt you found a Chrome specialist by living life close to the Edge and using Firefox - ?

OK, OK - I'll just get me coat

Seems to have both a mains transformer and a dropper resistor.

A lot too bling for my taste. Would go in a kitchen next to an original Dualit toaster, but nicely out of the ordinary.

Close to the edge? down by the river?

Two fantastic looking wireless sets! I think even my wife wouldn't mind one of them in the lounge! Showing my ignorance what are they? I don't recognise SNR?

The first one I restore the chroming cost £300 the second one, the one on the left they had a bit of a job with ,it ended up costing £350. I aim to fit Blue tooth to both radio's I hope it's money well spent .Mick.
