The WT03 code on the motor housing label shows it was made in Austria (Vienna) and the 247 indicates indicates it was made in mid-1967.

Indeed Austria, but likely in 1972 week 47 as they already changed the date format by 1967 (at least for cassette recorders).

I'm not 100% sure about the letters as they are indeed quite confusing and not use in this way on any other kind of equipment that I know of. I do agree it's most likely that the A immediately behind the type number stands for Austria. I've also noted down the B for Spain, D for Germany, G for the UK and the S for Singapore.

Ah yes, these Philips date codes can be a little ambiguous. Upon reflection, 1967 may be a little early for Lockfit transistors and the EL3302 model was produced well into the 1970s.

I have two EL3301 models that were made in the UK, with BA (Croydon) serial number labels. The model number on these labels is EL3301G/15. It says Made in England (or was it Britain?) in front of the meter.
