Vintage avionics help
Apologies for not being radio related but I know from searching some of the threads there are members who share my interest in vintage military avionics so maybe they could help with some information |I need. I am looking at making a working artificial horizon and HSI display using electric gyro instruments, for an aviation museum. All of the military instruments I have come across are 115v 3 phase 400Hz, which I think might raise some safety issues, regarding the power supply, in a public environment. I am told that some later and/or foreign types are powered by 28v DC with an internal inverter or 26v 3 phase. Does anyone have any info on the latter types?
