Default Rotel RCD865

I have a really odd problem with this player. Whilst it plays, there is a very strange squealing sound coming from it. It's not from the audio out, it occurs even when disconnected from the amplifier.

It isn't the motor, I've lubricated it just in case and it stops as soon as the stop or better still the open button is pressed and whilst the disc is still spinning, which leaves only the laser or the electronics driving it.

This uses the Philips CDM4 mech.

Any thoughts please

A ceramic (MLC) capacitor squealing?

This reminds me of a Arcam delta 250 I have that squeals too, it also has a CDM4, IIRC.
