Anti-Tamper Bolt Head ID
Hi all,
Can anyone ID the bolt head type in the photo please, so I can look for a suitable tool to remove them. It’s just over 5mm diameter, the shape is proud and slightly tapered/rounded. I need to remove eight from a 1980s Pye / Philips PMR PSU. Many thanks, Martin G4NCE |

Flanged Button Head
There is a good guide on RS that shows the various types of security screws. https://uk.rs-online.com/web/general...y-screws-guide |

Re: Anti-Tamper Bolt Head ID
That looks like a 'System Zero' screw to me. Almost impossible to remove without the correct tool
RS do insert bits to fit them, for example : https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/screw...-bits/0542116/ There are only 4 sizes I think. |

Re: Anti-Tamper Bolt Head ID
Thanks Gents. The Flanged Button Head is certainly very similar, from the RS page it looks like the System Zero head is the actual one in this case. Turns out there is a forum thread on that screw head type
HERE which indicates a standard miniature socket will remove them, possibly both types. Hadn’t thought of trying that. A little job for later today. Thanks again. Martin G4NCE |

Re: Anti-Tamper Bolt Head ID
If the head is proud another option is to saw a slot and then use a screwdriver to remove, if RS type they are not a hard metal.
