Default Anyone know anything about Riviera Radio?

Just purchased this interesting Bakelite cabinet, clearly from the early 1930's.
I haven't been able to find anything about the company that manufactured it, if indeed it is UK set! It's a SW LW receiver.
The only picture I've found (shown below) show a a complete set but no info about it.
I'll be interested if anyone can shine some light on this, Thanks

Splendid, the screwhead in the middle indicates a reed type 'speaker and the two dula knobs a TRF of some kind. This I wouldn't hesitate to put in a bluetooth or somesuch system in. It would be a talking point.

Link to the Riviera Radio I acquired last year:
https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=159110

The two valve circuit resembles the battery version of the KB pup.

I haven't decided what to do with mine yet, either repair the existing chassis if you can call it that or, fit a more modern receiver into the cabinet. After all, it was simply bought for the look rather than works inside it.

Many thanks for the link, very interesting indeed I had not heard of a cigarette coupon radio before. The Bakelite cabinet is very beautiful, at some stage I'll incorporate a Bluetooth speaker into it, It's far too nice not to have music coming out of it!
